Veterinary Physiotherapy aims to optimise the healing process and accelerate return to function, independence and/or performance. It involves the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and/or neurological conditions in animals. It combines analysis of the animals movement with knowledge of the anatomy of the neuro-muscular system in order to identify any potential problems.
The findings are then used alongside any veterinary history to treat your animal using a variety of techniques that include massage, stretching, ROM, electrotherapies and creating a bespoke remedial exercise plain, that aims to both restore and maintain normal function, reduce discomfort and pain for the animal, and improve their mobility and performance.
